Surfers Paradise Boulevard will reopen to southbound traffic on Friday 7 June, from Elkhorn Avenue to Cavill Avenue and from Clifford Street to Thornton Street. Southbound traffic will travel on the tracks from Hamilton Avenue to Thornton Street.
There is no access from Surfers Paradise Boulevard into Hanlan Street and Beach Road. Hanlan Street is also a left turn only onto the boulevard.

Surfers Paradise Boulevard will be closed to all through traffic from Beach Road to Clifford Street. Temporary block and intersection closures will occur from Cavill Avenue to Alison Street.
We recommend The Esplanade for all Southbound Traffic, and the Gold Coast Highway Northbound. If you're on foot heading South to Cavill Ave, avoid the construction by walking through Chevron Renaissance. Or if you're heading to the Beach from the North or South, head through The Forum, Lido or Centre Arcades, off Surfers Paradise Blvd and on to Orchid Ave.
