Agent 77
Agent 77 will take up regular rotation at Surfers Paradise venue The Avenue, every Monday and Thursday night from 9.30pm. With special shows on Friday June 29, Friday July 6 and Saturday July 7, Agent 77 are here to stay, showing a diverse range of musical styles from rock to reggae, pop to punk, and grunge to funk, spanning hits from the sixties to today.
Agent 77 formed in 2005, after old school buddies Glenn and Randall teamed up with vocalist and friend, Chad. Playing shows in surf clubs and pubs, the band quickly built a fan base that saw them expand into larger venues for bigger shows and private functions. Intent on building this fan base even further, Agent 77 play regular shows in clubs and pubs throughout Surfers Paradise. For now, they’re taking up a regular position with The Avenue, so head in Monday’s and Thursday’s to see their weekly show.
Stevenson St
Catch cover band Stevenson St every Tuesday night from 9.30pm at The Avenue. Combining modern hits with top 40 tracks from the sixties to the naughties and everything in between, this Queensland based band effortlessly cover songs from a range of genres and artisits. With classics from Janis Joplin and the Rolling Stones, to modern icons Lady Gaga and Cee Lo Green, Stevenson St have something to please the most diverse crowds.
Over the years, Stevenson St have expanded their sound through a range of styles including rock, pop, funk, soul, reggae and roots music. With the dynamics of both a male and female vocalists, Stevenson St’s opportunities expanded to see them playing shows from the Gold Coast to Northern Queensland.
Vertigo
You can see Vertigo perform every Wednesday night at the Avenue from 9.30pm. Playing a mix of covers and originals, this rock and roll band has a diverse background that’s sure to please all. Members Shane, Christian, Rohan and Damian have spent the last two decades travelling Australia and the world in the name of music, supporting a range of artists including Icehouse, Phil Emmanuel, John Farnham and John Stevens. With a repertoire as diverse as party, rock, reggae and retro, the eclectic mix of hits gets any crowd moving. Vertigo have held residency at The Avenue for over three years, yet one show is never the same as the last. Catch them again this Wednesday night, your party night, at The Avenue.
